Business Awards for Lohmann UK - “Two out of three ain’t bad!”

At the beginning of the year our subsidiary from Great Britain was rewarded with a surprise success. During  the 10th "Aylesbury Excellence Business Awards", LT UK won two out of three prizes. These prizes are presented annually by the British newspaper "The Bucks Herald". Companies within "Aylesbury Vale" in the shire county Buckinghamshire, in the south east of England, can apply for several categories. Lohmann Technologies was nominated for the categories: Company of the year, Team of the year and Customer Service of the year. To become "Company of the year" special criteria like a clear plan for growth or how the company markets their products and services effectively must be fulfilled. To become "Team of the year" the entrants should be able to demonstrate how teamwork has played a key role in their organisation. Successful teams will be able to show the following key elements for example: good leadership,
team spirit , well defined aims and a high level of trust and openness. Lohmann Technologies is proud to have won the first two categories and to finish runners up in Customer Service of the Year.
Roger Churchill, Managing Director, said: "This is the first time Lohmann have entered these awards and it is a superb achievement to have not only been nominated for all three of the categories submitted, but to have WON two out of three! My personal view is that this reflects the way the team has come together over the past few years and the spirit and ability that has been built up. 2006 was another record year for Lohmann. 2007 and beyond holds many challenges for UK manufacturing and we believe that LTUK is well established to benefit from these, having grown organically on strong foundations".
These awards culminated in an dinner and ceremony on February 2nd with over 300 guests and the team of Lohmann Technologies celebrated this event through the whole night. Congratulations!
