„Turning Fibers into Value“

Lohmann back at the International Textile Conference

From November 29-30, the International Textile Conference (ITC) – one of Europe’s leading textile conferences – will be held in Aachen. The ITC takes place in Aachen, Dresden and Denkendorf alternately and hence earned its name “textile triangle”. For the second time, Lohmann’s “Bonding Engineers”, too, are going to take part and present their innovative solutions for textile bonding with reactive adhesive films. Dr. Pascal Lanters, Technical Business Development Manager, will reveal some of the highlights in his talk “High performance bonding solutions for textile applications”. He and his colleagues look forward to intensive follow-up discussions with the visitors.

Lohmann’s DuploTEC® series, consisting of polyurethane-based SBFs (Structural Bonding Films), responds to textile challenges quite effectively. These reactive adhesive bonding solutions combine the advantages of adhesive tapes with those of structural adhesive bonding. They can be applied quickly, easily and precisely and offer stable, permanent and heat resistant bonds. Activating at low temperatures (70-120°C) and in short cycle times, the DuploTEC® PU-film is especially suited for textile bonding. It meets highest safety and environmental requirements and is extremely flexible in regards to design: Even smallest parts can be bonded reliably.

Lohmann does not only strive for innovation on a product level. Using their so-called “Smart Bonding Approach”, the Bonding Engineers want to be reliable partners for the textile industry – from the initial idea to the final implementation into the production process. To guarantee this flexibility, Lohmann’s adhesive tapes are therefore not only available on rolls or sheets, but also as high-precision die cuts. ITC visitors will be able to have a look at these in Aachen. Furthermore, a water-column test will demonstrate the resistance of Lohmann’s textile bonding.
