Top 100 Lohmann_YogeshwarThe award ceremony at the Summit takes place on Friday, June 23, in Augsburg for all medium-sized companies that received the TOP 100 seal at the beginning of the year. The science journalist is accompanying the innovation competition, which is being held for the 30th time, as a mentor. In the scientific selection process, Lohmann made a particular impression in the size category C (more than 200 employees) in the category "Innovative processes and organization".

The TOP 100 company portrait published on the occasion of the award states (excerpt):

Lohmann is one of the world's leading manufacturers of high-tech adhesive tapes and customized die-cus. At 29 locations worldwide with 1,800 employees, the company offers complex adhesive solutions for a wide range of industries. Whether in the medical, electronic or automotive sectors, the long-established medium-sized company consistently structures its innovation processes to realize new adhesive products. COO Dr. Carsten Herzhoff explains how the "Bonding Engineers" work: "We don't just produce adhesive tape, but adhesive solutions. This makes the adhesive tape a multifunctional carrier of functions." This function can be thermal conductivity, for example, as in the automotive sector. For the medical sector, Lohmann produces patches that can be used to measure bodily functions. And electrically conductive adhesive tapes are used in cell phone displays or keyboards. Using agile procedures such as Scrum or the Blue Ocean strategy, the innovation managers are always on the lookout for creative ideas or undiscovered markets. "Our recipe for success is close communication and the conviction that innovation is a dynamic process," says CEO Dr. Jörg Pohlman.
