What does our lighthouse project actually do?
At Lohmann, we want to do good. That's why we have our social sponsoring
Last year, we supported the integrative daycare center in Engers with the charitable lighthouse project "climbing frame" (we reported on this on the intranet on 22.07.21). The help was particularly important because the daycare center of Lebenshilfe Neuwied lacked the funds to replace the old climbing frame, which was in danger of collapsing. But especially for children with handicaps, a climbing frame is an important component for training motor skills.
It has been almost six months since Lohmann handed over the new climbing frame. Reason enough to ask the daycare center what has become of the "lighthouse project". "The joy about the new climbing frame is still unbroken," Frank Mehnert, Managing Director of Lebenshilfe Neuwied, tells us. "Whenever the weather permits, the children take advantage of the opportunity to climb, do gymnastics, or just linger there."
This joy is also confirmed by the beautiful photos we received from the Lebenshilfe KiTa. We wish the children a lot of fun with the climbing frame!
